Dismiss a Lee County ticket with defensive driving

1. Find the court on your citation. City tickets go to a municipal court; tickets outside city limits usually go to a Justice of the Peace. The county courts below handle appeals and certain misdemeanors.
2. Contact that court on or before your appearance date and request permission to take a driving safety course. Ask about cost and deadline.
3. Take our TDLR-approved 6-hour Texas driving safety course (Provider CP1172). Enroll here.
4. Submit your certificate of completion and a certified copy of your driving record to the court by its deadline.
